LOS ANGELES—Uber, the popular hailing app, has teamed up with the organizers of Sunday’s Armenian Genocide Rally for Justice at the Turkish Consulate in Los Angeles by providing a discount code on hailed rides.
The special code, April242016, may be used by first-time Uber users, who will receive a $15 discount. The offer is valid only on April 24.
This is the second consecutive year for this partnership with Uber, which provided a special discount code during last year’s Armenian Genocide commemorative march, which attracted 166,000 people around Los Angeles.
The Armenian Genocide Rally for Justice will begin at 1 p.m. in front of the Turkish Consulate in Los Angeles, 6300 Wilshire Boulevard, Los Angeles 90048. Buses and other modes of transportation to the rally are available, including a shuttle that can transport passengers from the Hollywood/Highland Red Line Metro Stop to the rally.
